Washington snow check: it's April/May! Grab your
Things seem pretty fat above ~5-6k actually; I haven't done anything adventurous myself, but lots of higher stuff still looks really good this year, like Komo Kulshan and Tahoma. People are skiing the Fuhrer Finger already and it looks as fat as it gets. By far the easiest place to ski, as usual, is Paradise. As of this TR I've been twice now: once skiing and once boarding, bringing my total days this year to two. Pretty satisfying so far! I guess I am easy.
The Muir Snowfield is the first place I ever skied: the Hummels invited me and gave me Ben's old ~70mm? x 190cm Dynastar Bigs with telemark bindings and someone's old T-Race boots. It was really fun trying to figure that out. Still to this day it really NEVER has disappointed me to go up to Muir and back. Maybe I am lucky!
This time, like each of the times before it, was one of the best. Thanks to for handing me a free and patched up pro board some time ago, as long as I promised to ride it.
Je Rey and Joe getting rad slightly overstoking the entrance to the chutes...
Doing a little bit of justice
I forgot how fun it can be to snowboard!
Thank you BettyBoost for the tools and the re-inspiration.

The ski areas may not be in good shape but it sure does look fat in the high alpine.
