Sin Nombre and Fourth of July

Eric is here so we're specializing in fun shit. Last night we had epic tapas in Santa Fe. Today I introduced him to the backcountry above Taos Ski Valley.
We started with Sin Nombre Peak. Some of our tracks are visible below the gully we skied after the upper face.

Eric near the summit.

Vallecitos was looking good.

Eric skis the face.

Eric in the gully.

On the way to our next line the view of Lake Fork Peak was nice.

We rallied to Fourth of July couloir.

It was kind of beat but still fun.

The snow was better on the apron.

We skied sweet steep spongy powder in the trees then enjoyed a satisfying dinner at the Bavarian.
