I got started from the lodge at 9am, and broke trail up the White Salmon glacier. I enjoyed warm temps and the general tranquility that was the mood of the day's weather. Feeling worked topping out on the north shoulder, it was nice to take some time to rest. This was my seventh time skiing the NWC, and I can't remember finding such consistently good snow top to bottom. The traverse currently goes on skis, but it did hold the only less than good snow on the route today. From the end of the traverse I skied the entire couloir only stopping once for a couple seconds, the snow was so effortless, it wasn't deep, just so good with very little wind affect.
