Mike Schmitt and I bivied on Boulder Ridge to watch the Perseid meteors and ski the upper Boulder Glacier this weekend. It was a beautiful sojourn into the near wilderness, nothing too novel but maybe we'll do a TR with all of the pics.
Abstract: Baker is perfect skiing right now it never even got too warm. Final snow ramp to top out on the B-P Cleaver is melted out requiring a short exposed scramble on loose rock.
Nah I just rolled with a Droid on this one, didn't want to carry a big expensive SLR up there. Our favorite pro photog was not available on short notice. I was going to live-TR it all on Facebook if I had 3G, alas this was True Wilderness by one definition.
