acid baby and solid gold mid-August

a week ago from colchuck lake climbed acid baby on a pillar of enchantment peaks, and solid gold on prusik peak in consecutive days. next time, would link them in one. it was nice to have a chill weekend, though--cragging's supposed to be fun, right?
both climbs feature quite a bit of 10+ climbing (though the FAs have solid gold as 11-) on good to excellent granite. as many of you already know, prusik has yosemite-peer granite in a stellar setting.
my camera is failing, so only got a few shots. a couple of the below are Tim's shots.
acid baby goes up just left of the chasm

on good rock

i'm moving so fast tim could barely capture me, but this gives you an idea of the rock near the top; the pinnacle in distance begins a knife-edge traverse

a body-less rock gnome followed

d-tail, colchuck pk, and mt stuart from Enchantment summit

1st pitch of solid gold--prusik's such a great crag

top of our p. 2 (i ran 2 and 3 together w/ a 70m)

tim's pics of me leading the sustained crux section of the last pitch - rather thin corner

i had visions of botching a move and smashing my nethers on the ledge below, touching off an-oh-so-cliche 12-mile injured forced march, but that didn't come to pass. but i thought of you anyway, casey.
great times, so much good climbing in those parts!
