Hello ward patrons, I'm thinking about a climbing trip in the range of Aug 13-24. Aiming for something in CA like the Sierras or Yosemite, also maybe Squamish or the Bugaboos. Would consider other stuff too. I have multiple years of trad multipitch and alpine experience, fairly solid 5.10 trad leader right now (just cruised some Index cracks, Angel's Crest over the past several weeks), Interested in 5.10ish multipitch routes, happy to throw myself at some secure not-hard 5.11's with the right partner. Happy to hit a crag like Index or an alpine route to become familiar. Looking at you, Sky and company ;).

How close could I get you to Denver or Albuquerque? There's plenty of long trad within short range of both cities. If you want to hop a plane, I'll meet you and we can hit the Sandias or Long's Peak. I'm in vacation-saving mode but I have three-day weekends that include Friday 12 Aug and Friday 26 Aug.

Also, E_$ and I were talking about doing something Aug 19-22, or so he thought. But I'm confused how that could be when it doesn't align with one of my three day weekends. Perhaps he'd be a good partner for you.

There's a good chance I could make a trip to Vancouver in your mentioned window, too. I'll keep you apprised if you're interested to join me or me and Naomi for Squishmastime.

Here are some classic free climbs in this neck of the woods just in case I can get you (or anybody else) stoked:
http://www.mountainproject.com/v/questi ... /105979195

These are in the 8,000-10,000 ft altitude range so heat is not too much of an issue. Right now in LA (7,000) we're hitting somewhere between 80-85 for a high on any given day.

Thanks for the response and info! Little early to tell whether I'll get those three-day weekends--give me a little bit to figure it out. Squampton and/or the 19-22nd range are definitely what the doctor ordered...

Yo J,

I just bought a plane ticket to arrive in Seattle at 9:05 pm on Thursday 11 August. Departure is on Monday at 5:25 pm. Let me know if you want to climb on da Chief that weekend. I'll be heading north regardless.
