I think the couloir located directly below the third stage of the Helbronner funvie is called l'entonnoir. In my opinion it offers the quickest and best access to the glacier de la toula. You can literally trip off the front balcony of the Rifugio Torino and end up in this thing. It was marvelous.

VIetato di descendere e canale!

Che Catzo!

It was quite wide and offered good turning pow. Nothing scary. Just good.

délicieux.

It was so good, we had to ski it twice. While on the way down, we could see the avy debris from the massive deadly slide that happened a few days prior. The slide was about 1km wide, 2 meters deep, and ran for 2000 vertical meters. Damn.

I then tried to jump into a crevasse.

ideal.

After that there's like 50,000 vertical meters of pow to the car. Pizzas the size of texas.

kinda like this:

Those long avy slopes above the return to Pavillon are little spooky.... especially in knee deep mashed potatoes. Image Image Image
