Sickle Couloir (Sawtooths)

We took advantage of great weather and some three day old fresh to ski the Sickle off of the shoulder of Horstmann. The coolie was filled with glorious, stable poo.

The only problem we had was that the cornice was looming overhead. I started to tunnel up through it, but then realized that we would just have to crawl back through to transition to ski. We transitioned a few feet below the saddle.

The lower portion was still in great shape even with the sun on it.

This is the view of the Sickle from Stanley.

I might have to take you up on your offer, Ryan. I would like to ski Shuksan and/or Eldorado. Also the weather is looking like another Sawtooth run this next weekend if anyone is traveling through! Probably give the North coolie on McGown a go.
