Volcán Nevados de Chillán, Las Trancas, Chile

Post by DonJuanPakistan »

Skied a volcano. It was dope. Did the same descent with Diamond Davide and Ryan Carter a few years back. This time to be more Cascadian, Chopo and I climbed from the bottom instead of taking the lifts of Termas de Chillán, located on an adjacent volcano. It was about 2,000m of desnivel and fun as hell. Headed to Pucón this morning, probably won´t do as much skiing as eating things cooked over fire. But I'll try to report on that too.

Summit ridge.

Dropping.

Lame summertime internet-stolen photo even though I´m looking at the volcano out the window where I am sitting right now.

And the east face of a mountain a few miles south of here to make you have scary dreams.

So what you're saying is you hiked up in order to avoid being tempted by 16-year-old canadian snow-mermaids with snowcats to tow you to summit?
