Caught the first tram and skied the Glacier Rond in 1.5m of new snow down to the tunnel. We had to ski and hike back to town because the tunnel was backed up 2.5 hrs for Easter! That pow run was followed up with a run down the Vrai Vallée Blanche, which wasn't too tracked by the time we hit it.
No photos on the Glacier Rond as we were making time. The top of the Rond was icier each of the three times that I did it this week. People were having some issues on it.
Morgan turning in front of the South Face of the Aiguille de Midi.
Monster crevasse on the way to the Vrai Vallée Blanche.
Quite amazing how the lines get tracked out in a small window of good weather.
Morgan and Dan before dropping in.
Morgan dropping into the Vrai Vallée Blanche.
And he lands it in style! Go Dynafits!
pow was still fresh enough...
Some guided groups were on the line but much remained.
Not too many tracks on the Vallée Noire.
Dan above the nice drop by the Rognon to join the normal route.
The weather was closing in some and a moderate foehn was blowing.
